Wise Wheels Terms and Conditions for Car Rental Cape Town

Rates

• The quotes / rates that we supply generally include 200km's per day on both super or standard theft and collision waivers. All airport surcharges, tourism levy and VAT are all included. A once off R40 contract fee is charged for each rental.
• One rental day is 24 hours. There is a grace period of 2 hours.
• Rates are not commissionable.
• Rates and conditions are subject to change without prior notice and all vehicles are rented subject to the detailed terms and conditions published on the back of our Rental Agreement.

Payment

• For each rental, we require an embossed credit card (cards with raised digits) - we accept all major cards but cannot accept debit cards, cheque cards, cash, cheques or bank transfers. Once the rental is complete, we take payment on the card against the authorization. The client may pay in cash and the credit card authorization will be cancelled.
• The card holder must be the renter and the credit card is not transferable. It is a violation of law for a person to use another person's credit card.
• The Renter must be in possession of an embossed credit card and a valid unendorsed driver's license.
  

Waivers and Exceptions

Liability Amount

Rates are inclusive of collision damage waivers and theft waivers. In the event of an accident you are liable for the excess / deductible

Waiver Exceptions

There are certain events where the insurance will not be held responsible for damage to the vehicle, and the renter will be liable for the full damage amount. These are instances that include:

• Negligent / irresponsible driving
• Reckless driving
• Vehicle damaged if taken off the road
• Damage to vehicle if taken out of South Africa
• Unauthorized driver
  

Drivers

• A valid, unendorsed license must be produced by the hirer or authorised driver.
• Minimum age for hirers or authorised drivers is 23 years of age and the drivers licence must have been valid for a minimum of two years.
  

Additional Drivers

• We allow one additional driver at no additional cost
• The additional driver information must be supplied to Wise Wheels, with a copy of their valid drivers license
• The Renter is liable for all risks/charges applicable to the vehicle
  

Conditions of Rental

• Minimum rental days is 24 hours
• All fines and penalties incurred in the duration of the hire are strictly for the liability of the driver. There is a traffic administration fee of R80.00 per traffic offence
• In the event of loss of keys, the hirer will be responsible for all resultant costs
• In the event of an accident, supplying a replacement vehicle is at the discretion of Wise Wheels Car Rental
• Wise Wheels Car Rental may re-call the vehicle if they feel there is sufficient cause
  

Vehicles

• Wise Wheels Car Rental does not allow their vehicles out of the South African borders
• In the event of a break-down (due to client error or negligence) or accident, the hirer will be responsible for all resultant costs, including towing. Towing due to mechanical failure on the vehicle (where the renter is not responsible for the failure) will be covered by Wise Wheels Car Rental
• Personal belongings stolen from vehicles are not covered.
• Fuel: All rates include maintenance and oil but fuel is not included. Vehicles are supplied with a full tank of fuel unless delivered to you, and the renter is charged for refill on termination of their contract. Most of our fleet uses unleaded fuel unless otherwise specified.

Extras

• Contract fee of R40.00 per rental
• Delivery & Collection:
• We can deliver or collect your vehicle in certain areas in the Western Cape. This includes Cape Town International, Cape Town central and surrounds and the Blouberg area
• Mileage over the specified amount will be charged on a per kilometer basis
  Personal Accident Insurance
• There is no PAI (personal accident insurance) included in the rental
